Haas completed the planned program

      Haas drivers Esteban Ocon and Oliver Berman completed the protocol of the first day of tests in Bahrain. The team said that they worked according to their own program, and did not strive to squeeze the maximum out of the car.

      Esteban Ocon (19th): "A very good day for both me and Oliver. Today, for the first time, we fully worked with a new car, and we learned a lot. A good day – we managed to complete the planned program. We focused on a long series of laps, which turned out to be very interesting. The team has gathered a lot of information, and I will be back behind the wheel on Thursday morning."

      Oliver Berman (20th): "The first day in Bahrain is over, and I am very happy to be back with the team and behind the wheel. It was my first time driving a Formula 1 car on this track, and everything went great.

      We did everything we wanted, and the results were in line with expectations – we studied the features of the car and its characteristics. Now I'm waiting for the remaining two days to test the ultimate possibilities of the new product."

      Ayo Komatsu, Team leader: "Overall, a good day. We completed the planned program, did what we had to do, and received the necessary answers.

      Both drivers drove a lot of laps. Over the winter, we had a lot of changes in the racing team, but I felt that communication and teamwork were at a very good level. A positive start to the pre-season tests for our team."
