Arvid Lindblad: The weekend is going pretty well!

Arvid Lindblad, the 18-year-old debutant of Racing Bulls, earned a championship point from Saturday's sprint in Montreal, and then confidently continued the Canadian weekend, showing the 9th result in the main qualifying session of the weekend. His teammate, Liam Lawson, did not make it to the final session.

Arvid Lindblad (9th): "The weekend is going quite well so far! Of course, after the sprint, earning one point, I tried to avoid complacency, as we have already seen this weekend that the situation can change very quickly. But today, things are going very well for us, the team did a great job preparing updates that helped me achieve a more comfortable feeling behind the wheel.

We were truly competitive on every lap, and I am satisfied with how I conducted my decisive attempt in the final qualifying session. Perhaps I could have gone a bit faster, but when the top teams show everything they are capable of, all the top positions on the grid are occupied by their drivers.

I am already looking forward to tomorrow's Grand Prix. I have always enjoyed racing in the rain, and the forecast promises just that kind of weather, and we are ready to perform in any conditions."

Liam Lawson (12th): "This weekend we have a really fast car, so it's a shame I couldn't make it to the final. After yesterday's issues, I was trying to make up for it, but it turned out to be harder than I expected. At the start of qualifying, I had difficulties with warming up the soft tires, I locked up the front brakes, and that was also a hindrance.

It all ended with me trying to push through to the final during my last quick lap, the pressure was very strong, but unfortunately, we fell just a bit short. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

On a dry track, our car is fast, but personally, I have nothing against the rain, considering the position we are starting from. Driving these cars on wet asphalt is very challenging, and if it rains, we are in for an interesting race."
