Ferrari will test the new rear suspension at Mugello.
The Ferrari team is preparing technical innovations for the upcoming Belgian Grand Prix. As part of the preparation, Scuderia will test an updated rear suspension next week. The tests will take place during a filming day scheduled for July 16 at Mugello. It is expected that the 200 kilometers allowed during the filming day will be divided between Antonio Giovinazzi and Charles Leclerc. Lewis Hamilton's presence at the tests is not anticipated. The team's engineers expect that the updated rear suspension, along with the new floor introduced at the Austria stage, will expand the tire working range and allow roughly a tenth of a second to be gained per lap. Considering that in qualifying, the difference among the top contenders is measured in hundredths of a second, a gain of one-tenth should help Ferrari drivers compete for higher starting positions.
