Jenson Button: Norris's worst enemy is himself

Jenson Button: Norris's worst enemy is himself

Jenson Button used to race for McLaren, where he was Lewis Hamilton's teammate at the time, and we have already noted his opinion on the rivalry between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, which promises to become more intense as the season progresses. The 2009 world champion believes that only McLaren drivers have real chances for the title.

Jenson Button: "The Austrian weekend was truly important for Lando. I think if the period when he couldn't win had lasted longer, it would have seriously affected his psychological state. In my opinion, Norris's worst enemy is himself because sometimes he demands too much from himself.

Lando is an incredibly fast driver, but if he makes even minor mistakes, he takes it very personally. He needs to realize that everyone is prone to making mistakes. It’s part of racing, and when it happens, it usually means missed opportunities for victory.

I like his character, and I have no doubt that he is extremely fast. Oscar differs from his teammate in that he is a very calm and balanced person. It seems nothing can unsettle him, which makes him a very tough opponent.

Regarding Max, he is currently in a difficult situation. His car is not as good as McLaren's, and if a race doesn’t go well for him, as it did in Austria, he immediately loses a lot of points, which then become very difficult to recover.

It must be admitted that currently only two drivers are competing for the title, but over the past several seasons, Max's situation has favored him. However, what he’s doing now in the RB21 truly impresses. Red Bull has already replaced several drivers, but none of Verstappen's teammates have come close to his results.

This once again proves how talented he is, and he manages to achieve so much despite not having the most efficient car."
