Mekis: I don't think the situation has changed since Friday.

Laurent Mekies, head of Red Bull Racing, commented on the outcome of Saturday's practice at the Baku street circuit, noting that the strong wind was creating serious difficulties for the drivers.

Laurent Mekies: "The strength of the wind is truly impressive, and it wasn't easy for the drivers, but everyone is in the same conditions. The process of gathering information is ongoing, primarily because on some parts of the track the stands shield you from the wind, then the car approaches the next corner where there is no protection at all. It's interesting to watch how our guys are coping with this.

If we talk about the balance of power, I don't think the picture has changed since Friday. McLaren and Ferrari are very quick, and we're trying to keep up with those two teams. Judging by what we see, we're about a couple of tenths behind, and that probably realistically reflects the level we're at following third practice."

When Mekies was asked whether they would try to organize Red Bull Racing drivers' interactions during qualifying so they could help each other use a slipstream, he said: "I think that will be difficult, because everyone wants to get that opportunity, since it can gain you more than two tenths.

But to calculate the moment in advance so you can use a slipstream is very hard. All drivers are focused on getting such a chance, not just us."

Regarding Yuki Tsunoda's 16th-place result, nearly one and a half seconds behind Max Verstappen, who posted the second-best time of the session, Mekies said the Japanese driver got caught in traffic on his lap, and that prevented him from showing a representative result.
