Alex Albon: Tomorrow we are in for real chaos!

James Vowles, team principal: "The weekend has been challenging. Due to reliability issues with the power unit, only one car participated in qualifying. We understand that we are behind, but we have a clear understanding of what we need to work on — and we are already implementing a program to achieve this goal.
Our plan for tomorrow is to finish with both cars in the race so that we can use this experience next week in Shanghai. Congratulations to Mercedes on their first and second places in qualifying — this is a benchmark we will strive for."
Alex Albon (15th): "Today we gave it our all, despite reliability issues this weekend. We had certain limitations during practice, so making it to Q2 was a decent result. There is serious work ahead that cannot be done in a day, but we continue to work and address the identified issues.
I think tomorrow will be real chaos, especially at the start. Due to red flags throughout the weekend, not all teams were able to work on their race pace, so it will be interesting. We hope that this chaos will help us. We will try to avoid mistakes and take advantage of every opportunity in the race."
Carlos Sainz (did not participate): "A tough weekend, reliability issues arose in all sessions.
Unfortunately, we did not have these problems during testing, and in Melbourne, I was only able to participate in the first and the beginning of the second practice, missing both sessions on Saturday. I hope to participate in the race tomorrow and gain important experience."
