Frederic Vasseur will miss qualifying in Monaco – the head of the Ferrari team is in a local hospital undergoing medical examinations.
Yesterday he was working at the track, but on Saturday morning the Italian team reported the following: “Fred Vasseur will not be present at the track today. After a series of specific medical procedures, he will remain under observation in the local hospital.
No additional information will be provided. We wish Fred a speedy recovery and look forward to him returning to the track soon.”
In Vasseur's absence, his duties at the pit wall will be taken over by Jerome D'Ambrosio, the deputy team principal.
As Gazzetta dello Sport reports, it is still unclear when Vasseur will return to the track, but it reminds that in 2024 he had back problems, which led him to undergo surgery.
