Aston Martin invites everyone to compare the two photos

The press service of Aston Martin F1 shared two photos of the team's base in Silverstone, taken from a bird's eye view with an interval of several years. The difference is really impressive, because all this time there was a large-scale work on the construction of a new complex, called "Aston Martin Racing Technology Campus" or AMRTC. The caption to the photos is: "How it all started and how it is now" On the first photo you can see several old buildings, where the Jordan team was originally based. After the change of owners, it was briefly called Midland/Spyker, then turned into Force India/Racing Point, and since 2021 is called Aston Martin. The second photo allows you to assess the scale of the transformations that have already taken place and continue to take place at the current stage of the team's history. A consortium of investors led by Lawrence Stroll bought its assets in 2018 for 90 million pounds, and then gradually increased the volume of investments, now exceeding the billion-dollar level. The structure of the Technology Campus includes three ultramodern buildings with solar panels In addition, from March this year in the team will start working Adrian Newey, and this investment is no less important than the construction of a new base. Of course, Stroll expects that all this will allow the team to reach a new level, and in the future it will become a real contender for victories in races and championships. That with the right approach to the case it is possible, proves the example of McLaren, which a few years ago was in deep crisis, and last year won the Constructors' Cup. However, if changes of this kind and will occur, then not in the coming year, and Fernando Alonso has already warned about it. But let's see what Aston Martin will achieve in 2026, when Formula 1 will move to the new technical regulations, chassis and power plants of the next generation. The cars developed with the participation of Newey and built at Silverstone, will already have engines made by Honda.
