Haas won't work in Toyota's wind tunnel

Last October, Haas F1 announced a technical partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing, but the American team has no plans to use the Toyota Motorsport wind tunnel in Cologne, but will continue to work with Ferrari. "We have no plans to stop working in the wind tunnel in Maranello for the foreseeable future," explained Ayo Komatsu, head of Haas F1. - It's a win-win situation, because Ferrari and we compete in the same championship. And if in the course of aerodynamic research arises any difficulties, for example, connected with the current technical regulations, on the basis of which are created cars of this generation, Ferrari specialists can conduct their research and deal with this problem. So we can use their solution, and we do not have to conduct such research ourselves. So I don't see the point in stopping to use this modern wind tunnel and switch to work with Toyota. Now their pipe in Cologne none of the teams of F1 does not use, there works only Andretti, but it does not participate in the championship yet". Haas team debuted in Formula 1 in 2016 and with Ferrari it cooperates from the very beginning, and in Maranello is based one of its divisions in addition to two other bases located in the United States and Britain.
