      1996 World Champion Damon Hill has received a prestigious award... 1996 World Champion Damon Hill has received a prestigious award from Motorsport UK for his special contribution and sporting achievements. Damon spent nine seasons in Formula 1, making his debut for Brabham in 1992 before moving to Williams the following year where he won his only championship title. Hill left Formula 1 after the 1999 season, but remained in motorsport and was associated with the Sky F1 commentary team until the end of last year. The last time Nigel Mansell received the British Federation's Special Contribution Award was in 2013.
