Video: Lewis Hamilton's first days at Ferrari

Not even all racing journalists covering Formula 1 have been to the Ferrari base in Maranello, not to mention the fact that there were very few witnesses of Lewis Hamilton's first appearance there. All the more interesting to watch a 9-minute video, edited by the Scuderia press service from documentary footage of the very first days of the seven-time world champion at the Italian team's headquarters. You can say anything you want, and make some predictions about how their cooperation will develop, but for now it is suggested to just believe your eyes. In this footage we see that people of different professions, specialists of different profiles and different ages, working at Ferrari, are genuinely happy about the appearance of such a racer. Look at these smiling faces - they just glow with joy! The Ferrari film crew was present not only at the ceremony of meeting Hamilton, but also worked during the process of fitting the seat, and at the first tests in Fiorano - by the way, Anthony Hamilton, the father of the British racer, was also there. What is happening on the screen is clear without words, but the attention is attracted by very romantic shots, where we see Lewis on the track in Fiorano, shrouded in a foggy haze. He, not holding back his emotions, shares his first impressions... "I have seen photos of this track, and now I drove on it for the first time, and it was as if I was covered with some wave! I've wanted to be here for so long and feel all this, - says Lewis. - It is incredibly great that my father and both my mothers are here..." Hamilton has a great relationship with both his mother and his father's second wife, and, of course, it was important for him that these dear people also saw his dream come true. And it is quite logical that at the very end we are shown how jubilant Italian fans gathered at the fence of the test track in Fiorano - in their sincerity is also not to be doubted. However, everyone understands one thing: it is not so important, what was the very beginning of the relationship between Hamilton and Ferrari - much more important, what will be the continuation, and it directly depends on its results.
