This year marks the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, and to celebrate, the organization is hosting a grand event in London this week, just before the start of the 2025 season. Last night, current F1 stars gathered for a dinner with some of the sport's legendary figures, including Emerson Fittipaldi, Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Jackie Stewart, and others. However, the main event is today, as the F1 festivities will take over the O2 arena in London for an exciting reveal party.
Similar to contemporary F1 race weekends, the event will feature more than just cars. There will be a variety of entertainment, including musical performances and celebrity guests, with actor-comedian Jack Whitehall serving as the host. It promises to be a fun occasion, but it’s unfortunate that tickets for the event sold out mere minutes after they were released months ago.
The highlight of the event will undoubtedly be the unveiling of the 2025 F1 cars, with all ten teams expected to participate. All team drivers will be in attendance, and to my knowledge, Max Verstappen did not skip out on work today, despite previously joking about doing so when the event was first announced.

As I mentioned when this event was announced last year, it's important to approach F1 car reveals with caution, as they usually don't showcase the actual cars. Instead, it’s more about revealing the liveries. For many years, teams have displayed dummy cars to highlight their new colors and sponsorships, as they are cautious about revealing their true designs, aerodynamic packages, and other technical details to competitors. So, as you watch the event today, keep in mind that they will be showcasing show cars and kits featuring updated liveries.
Although it feels like the final race of the 2024 season was just two weeks ago, in reality, pre-season testing is only 10 days away, and teams will be heading to Australia in just three weeks. It's here, it’s happening, and it's time to get excited for another season of Formula 1 racing!
