Andy Cowell: The information gathering process continues

On Thursday, the Aston Martin team continued their work on the Bahrain circuit, with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll completing 102 laps between them. The Spanish driver piloted the AMR25 in the morning session, and was replaced by his team-mate in the afternoon.

The team expected to complete more laps, but rain prevented it, and Alonso managed to complete only 45 laps, although this is more than 240 km. According to the results of the first session, he was 11th, and Stroll ended the day on the 6th line of the protocol.

Andy Cowell, Executive Director and Team leader: "It wasn't easy for everyone today, but the weather is what it is. The wind was gusty, it got a little colder than it was yesterday, and it was raining in the morning, so everyone had to put on their jackets. But even in these conditions, we continue to work on the track, trying to make the most of our time.

The information collection process continues, we have tested various approaches to chassis settings, worked with different components of the aerodynamic body kit, and our experts at the Silverstone team are helping us analyze the data and make the right decisions to continue moving forward."

On the final day of testing, Stroll will pilot the car in the morning, and in the afternoon, Alonso will take his place in the cockpit of the AMR25.
