Amanda Newey hopes to see her husband... in five years

      Adrian Newey joined Aston Martin F1 as managing technical partner this week, and his main task now is to accelerate the team's preparation for 2026, when Formula 1 will switch to a new generation of cars.

      Of course, Aston Martin is very happy to receive such reinforcements, but Amanda Newey, the wife of the famous racing designer, seems to have a mixed opinion about what is happening. However, the comments she left on the team's social media pages are more of a joke.

      "I leased it to them," Amanda said of her husband's 5–year contract, which, according to various estimates, will receive about 30 million pounds a year. Then she added a couple more sentences: "I look forward to seeing you again, dear husband! We'll meet in about five years."

      Of course, she knows the selfless manner of her husband's work and cannot underestimate the complexity of the tasks that he has to solve in the team from Silverstone.

      This is the third marriage for Newey, the couple legalized their relationship in 2017. Amanda is the daughter of the famous actor Ron Smarzak, who once performed on the British stage, and then successfully worked in South African cinema.
