It's official: the Cadillac team will make its F1 debut in 2026.
Starting in 2026, there will be 11 teams in Formula 1 – the Cadillac team's application has been approved.
Only yesterday, the FIA made it clear that it would not be long before this event, and on Friday evening, a joint statement from the federation and Formula 1 was released confirming this.
"The FIA and Formula 1 can confirm that, following the completion of the sports, technical and commercial reviews, the application submitted by General Motors and TWG Motorsports for the Cadillac team to participate in the World Championship starting in 2026 has been approved."
It can be expected that this will be one of the main topics that will be widely discussed in the coming days ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.
