Jacques Villeneuve gets back behind the wheel of his father's Ferrari
The historic French Grand Prix will be held at the Paul Ricard Circuit on the last weekend of April, and the world of motorsport will witness a truly historic moment.
Jacques Villeneuve will start the race, driving a Ferrari 312 T5, which his father used in Formula 1 in 1980.
And although that season was frankly unsuccessful for Gilles Villeneuve and for the Scuderia in general (the Canadian never even reached the podium, although he became vice-world champion the year before), now this is perhaps not so important and does not at all diminish the symbolic significance of the upcoming event.
Jacques had previously piloted cars in which his father competed, for example, in 2012 in Fiorano, but these were demonstration races, and now the 1997 world champion will compete in the Grand Prix de France Historique, even if it's just a nostalgic race.
