Pierre Gasly: I hope we can claim the points.

      Pierre Gasly has a very positive attitude before the start of his ninth season in Formula 1 and his third in Alpine F1. The French driver believes that the team is progressing.

      Pierre Gasly: "First of all, I am very happy to be back in the paddock. Winter is not bad, of course, and I had a great time with my friends, but I really missed that fighting spirit that you only feel when you're fighting wheel–to-wheel with other racers on the track. I want to experience that rush of adrenaline again, that pressure associated with the need to show results.

      I'm just glad that the season is starting. It was preceded by tests, and on the whole our team is satisfied with their results, considering what level we were at for the year. back when we had a very difficult time. Things are going much better now, although it is not yet possible to accurately determine the balance of power. I don't want to make predictions, and I intend to devote all my energy to achieving the best possible results behind the wheel of our car.

      But in just a couple of days we will have a better understanding of who is capable of what, although it is already clear that a very interesting season is ahead, as the rivalry promises to be very tight.

      If we recall the impression our A525 made on the tests, then we can say that I have a positive attitude. There are a lot of assumptions about who is at what level, including in the middle of the peloton. I have no doubt that we can fight all our direct opponents, but the question is, can we claim the points?

      I hope we can, but we'll find out in a few days. I really feel that the team is progressing, that everything is gradually moving in the right direction, and all the elements are coming together into a single picture. So let's see how we start the season. It is clear that the Melbourne circuit is very different from Bahrain, but I hope that we will reach the top ten.

      If we talk about my partner, then, in my opinion, he has talent. There's a lot of talk about Jack Duane right now, but it's important to just give him the opportunity to show what he's capable of. After all, we have the best job in the world, and Formula 1 drivers are expected to enjoy every second of it, even though the atmosphere in the paddock is not always that friendly.

      But you have to deal with all your emotions, not let external factors influence you, because our job is to give 100%, working in a team, and demonstrate all your talent, regardless of what people say about you. So I'll try to help Jack."
