Lewis Hamilton:"The previous few months have been incredibly great, and I am very happy that the season is finally starting. The weather brings crazy surprises, because it has been very warm in Melbourne all week, but now the weather is more like in England. But at the same time, we can see how warmly the Australian public supports us – it seems that every year there are more and more fans in the stands at Albert Park!

I woke up pretty early, and I'm not in a nervous mood. I managed to walk around the city, sent a few text messages to my brother and mom, because it's still unusual for our whole family that I became a Ferrari racer. It's phenomenally great that I had the opportunity to get this experience, I'm very grateful to everyone and I'm gradually building relationships with the team.

Today, I also have a new experience waiting for me, because this is my first Grand Prix as part of the Scuderia. I haven't piloted this car in the rain yet, so I have to figure out the settings, discuss tactics with the team and learn a lot. I hope it will be a good day!"
