Wasser: It's important to help the riders unlock the potential of the SF-25

As in 2024, the race weekend program at the Shanghai circuit includes a sprint, which means that on Friday, qualifying for the short Saturday race is preceded by only one hour of practice.

Before the Chinese Grand Prix, the asphalt surface at the Shanghai International Circuit was completely renovated, and since it has always been difficult to find the optimal settings on this track, all teams will have to solve quite difficult tasks.

According to Ferrari, it was all the more important to work effectively at the base, completing the "homework" efficiently, but also during the weekend in Maranello there will be intensive work on the simulator to help the racing team on the track.

Frederic Wasser, team principal: "It is good that we are returning to the track just a few days after the race in Melbourne, because in Shanghai we will have the opportunity to turn the Australian page and immediately move forward.

The characteristics of the Chinese track are completely different compared to Albert Park, and since Shanghai will host the first sprint of the season, it also means that there is an opportunity to earn more points at the end of the weekend.

From a technical point of view, the work we have done in Maranello in preparation for this stage becomes even more important, because we will only have one hour of training, during which we will also need to get a first look at the features of the new asphalt surface, which was completely renovated before this year's races.

Both Charles Leclair and Lewis Hamilton like the Shanghai circuit, and we must do everything in our power to ensure that they can fully unleash the potential of the SF-25 car."
