F2: Martin fastest in Bahrain tests

      Three-day Formula 2 tests have begun in Bahrain. Following the Formula 3 racers, Formula 2 participants completed the first day. ART racer Victor Martin showed the best time at the end of two sessions – 1:42.526 seconds.

      In the morning session, which began immediately after the end of the morning Formula 3 session, the drivers worked according to their programs, gradually increasing their speed. Arvid Lindblad, Victor Martin, Jack Crawford, Oliver Goethe, and Jose Maria Marti took turns at the top of the protocol, but Roman Stanek retained the lead. Twenty-five minutes before the end of the session, the Invicta Racing driver completed a lap on soft tires in 1:44.789 seconds.

      After the break, during which the Formula 3 afternoon session took place, the tests continued. The riders worked according to their programs, the session was calm and without red flags.

      In the last minutes of the session, Martin drove a lap, which became the best result of the day. The tests will continue on Thursday.
