In Japan, Red Bull Racing cars will change their coloring

At Honda's Japanese home race, Red Bull Racing will change the coloring of the cars, using recognizable Japanese colors and a design inspired by the victory of the Honda RA272 in Formula 1.

This season marks the 60th anniversary of Honda's first Formula 1 victory, and the new coloring is a tribute to the RA272 model, which brought Honda victory at the ’65 Mexican Grand Prix, won by American Richie Ginter.

A special logo dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Honda's first Formula 1 victory will be placed on all four cars of the Red Bull teams.

This is the second time Red Bull Racing has performed in shades of white in honor of Honda. The team won a double podium at the 2021 Turkish GP in a special coloring book, which the fans urged to use again.

Christian Horner, team principal: "We have a lot to celebrate with Honda. This consistently successful partnership has brought the team one of the most triumphant and dominant periods in our history.

Max has won four championship titles with the Honda powerplant, and the team has won the Constructors' Cup twice. In addition, the reliability of Honda engines has allowed us to have the most successful season in history in 2023. This coloring book is a tribute to Honda's success in sports in the final year of our collaboration. I'm looking forward to seeing this car on the track."

Koiji Watanabe, President of Honda Racing Corporation: "It is very touching to see the RA272 coloring on the latest Red Bull Racing car in the last year of cooperation between Honda and Red Bull. Our successful path continues to leave its mark in the history of Formula 1."

On Wednesday, the "Red Bull Showrun - powered by Honda" show will take place on the streets of Tokyo with the participation of four Red Bull drivers. Max Verstappen, Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson and Isaac Hajjar will drive a Honda RA272, RB16B, and two RB7S.
