Verstappen hinted at future cooperation with Honda
Demonstration races of the Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls teams, organized with the support of Honda, took place in Tokyo on Wednesday. At the end of the season, the cooperation between the parties will end – both teams will switch to their own power plants developed jointly with Ford, and Honda will become the supplier of the Aston Martin team.
Max Verstappen, commenting on the races behind the wheel of the RB16, which brought him his first title, hinted at his future collaboration with Honda, which added fuel to the rumors about his departure from Red Bull Racing.
Max Verstappen: "I really enjoyed working with Honda. Of course, when the team first started working with them, we already had a success story, but I could not have imagined what heights we would reach together by winning four league titles.
I'll try to have fun this weekend and drive as fast as I can. But, most likely, we will remember more about all the achievements that we have achieved together in sports. However, who knows what the future holds for us?
You know what can be done. So at the moment, we're saying goodbye, but nothing more. I'm still quite young, and who knows what the future holds for me."
