Verstappen: Bahrain stage will be difficult for us
After winning at Suzuka, Red Bull Racing hopes for a good result in Bahrain, especially since Max Verstappen has won the last two races at this track.…
Max Verstappen: "The victory in Japan was a positive event for the team and a great farewell to Honda – over the years we have built a great relationship and achieved great success.
It's amazing, to win the fourth race in a row in Suzuka is a great start to a three–race series and a good incentive for the team, we feel much more confident now.
We have performed successfully in Bahrain in the past. Technical track, night Grand Prix, hot weather. This stage will be difficult for us. We have a lot to improve, we are not working well enough with the tires, the car is not fast enough – we are working hard in this direction. I'm looking forward to what this week will bring, and I hope we can get more out of the car."
Yuki Tsunoda: "I'm looking forward to the start of the weekend in Bahrain and the opportunity to fully focus on working with the team. The week in Japan turned out to be crazy, and the preparation for it was also stressful. I enjoy driving on my home track, but now I'm glad that I can work quietly in Bahrain, get used to the car and join the life of Oracle Red Bull Racing.
I learned a lot over the weekend in Suzuka, adapted to the RB21, and realized the difference between this team's work. Now I have to apply this knowledge and make sure that I can get the most out of the car.
We all know the track well in Bahrain, the weather this week will be completely different than in Japan. We need to prepare well and perform better in qualifying than last week. If I understand how to prepare the tires for a fast lap on this car, I can achieve a good result and earn points."
