Verstappen: We're losing too much to McLaren.

In the second training session in Bahrain, Max Verstappen showed only the seventh time. His partner Yuki Tsunoda was 18th.…

Max Verstappen (7th): "It was a difficult session. We tried to find more grip, to feel the car better. The balance wasn't too bad, but the car just wasn't working. It is clear that we have a lot of work ahead of us, including in the long term.

In these conditions, we seriously lack speed, we are too far behind McLaren."

Yuki Tsunoda (18th): "Today we used different settings on two machines to compare their effectiveness. But overall, the second session turned out to be a bit chaotic – I couldn't put everything together. There were some problems with communicating with the engineer on the radio, but this is part of the learning process and building mutual understanding.

It is difficult to assess the balance of power now. We have potential, but it won't be easy to unlock it. It's not the best Friday of my life, but I hope the rest of the weekend goes better. I am optimistic and I am sure that we will make a lot of changes overnight."

Ayumu Iwasa (19th in the first session): "It was a great experience getting behind the wheel of the RB21 in Bahrain, thanks to the team for the opportunity.

My session was difficult, we tested the aerodynamics first, so I didn't do many laps, but I was focused on doing my best and not making mistakes. By the end of the session, I felt more comfortable in the car and provided more feedback over the radio.

I've already tested the RB car before, and now I've been able to get behind the wheel of Red Bull Racing. Overall, this is a new and enjoyable experience that will help me prepare for new opportunities in the future."
