Mercedes racers were called to the stewards

      Mercedes drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli were called to the Bahrain Grand Prix stewards.

      In qualifying, both violated the instructions of the race director by driving out of the pits into the pit lane before the time for the resumption of the session was announced, which was stopped with red flags due to Esteban Ocon's accident.

      On Sky Sports, team principal Toto Wolff expressed the hope that the stewards would not apply a sports penalty to Russell and Antonelli, and they would not lose their positions at the start of the race.

      "This is a new rule," says Toto. – There has been no precedent yet, so we'll see what the stewards say. I hope that the riders will not be fined for this. This is the team's mistake. We were in a hurry."
