Fernando Alonso invests in sushi restaurant chain

Two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso has invested in the sushi restaurant chain Sticks'n'Sushi. The Spanish racer became a co-owner of the Danish-Japanese restaurant group together with the McWin Food Ecosystem Fund.

The Sticks'n'Sushi chain has 15 restaurants in the UK and as many more in Denmark and Germany.

Fernando Alonso: "I am pleased to invest in the Sticks'n'Sushi restaurant group together with the McWin company. We strive to make the Sticks'n'Sushi brand known in the UK and Europe. We share common values, and I look forward to embarking on a fantastic journey with McWin."

Fernando Alonso is not the only Formula 1 champion whose business interests affect the restaurant business. In 2019, Lewis Hamilton launched the Neat Burger international restaurant chain, which serves vegan burgers and other dishes with vegetable meat. In 2022, Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio joined Hamilton's project.
