George Russell shows off the new Mercedes-AMG ONE

In 2017, Mercedes introduced the Project One hypercar, which eventually went into small-scale production under the name Mercedes-AMG ONE. Lewis Hamilton took part in the refinement of the car, and the cost of each copy is an impressive $ 2.7 million.

The hypercar is equipped with a hybrid powerplant, based on a 1.6-liter V6 turbo engine that develops 574 hp. The total power of the powerplant, together with the hybrid part, which includes 4 electric motors, exceeds 1,000 hp. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and its top speed is 352 km/h.

George Russell became the new owner of Mercedes-AMG ONE. The Mercedes racer boasted about the purchase by posting a series of photos of himself and the hypercar on social media.

"My dream car!!! – George wrote. – I am very proud to have become its owner. I've been dreaming about this car ever since I joined Mercedes in 2017. It's crazy that this engine is a modified version of the engine from our 2015 Formula 1 car, which was the first Mercedes Formula 1 that I drove.

      George Russell's garage already has a 1970 Mercedes 280 SL, AMG G63 and C63, AMG C63S, SL63, and GT S Coupe.

Famous Mercedes-AMG ONE owners include Lewis Hamilton and his father Anthony, David Coulthard, Nico Rosberg, Valtteri Bottas and Christian Albers.
