Alpine informed Duane about the replacement

The likely replacement of Jack Duane by Franco Colapinto at the next stage of the Formula 1 season in Imola is gaining new details.

The Race publication reports that the decision has not only been made, but also brought to the attention of Duane. Sources say that after the finish of the Miami Grand Prix, even before Jack left the track, Alpine executives informed him that he would not drive at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.

Franco Colapinto should become Pierre Gasly's new team–mate, but Alpine does not rule out that another reservist, Paul Aron, will be checked before the end of the season. At the same time, cooperation with Duane will not be finalized – he will remain among the reserve pilots of the team.

Alpine has not yet officially commented on this publication.
