Pierre Gasly: We are in better shape than in Monaco.

      Alpine riders Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto had different opinions about the results of Friday's training sessions in Barcelona. If Pierre is generally happy with the car, then his partner is not satisfied with the balance of the A525, especially on hard tires.

      Pierre Gasly (8th): "We had a busy program today, so Friday's training sessions turned out to be intense. The team has brought a lot of new products, thanks to which the behavior of the car has changed somewhat. I was pleased with the progress we made in the second training session compared to the first.

      The team has become more aware of some of the characteristics of the car, and we have a chance to achieve more tomorrow. At this stage of the race weekend, we are in better shape than in Monaco.

      The car is in the operating range, and tomorrow it will be important to finalize some details if we want to rise to a new level, as other teams usually do on Saturday. I'm happy right now and I intend to compete in qualifying."

      Franco Colapinto (20th): "It wasn't the best Friday for me - both training sessions turned out to be quite difficult. I had problems with my balance, especially on hard trains. I was not satisfied with the behavior of the car, so I need to study the telemetry and find an opportunity to add more tomorrow. I hope that there will be a simple solution, because it is clear that the car has speed on this track.

      On Saturday, I will have the third training session at my disposal, in which I need to find a solution before qualifying. The team will continue to work hard, and I expect to demonstrate a higher speed tomorrow."
