Oliver Bearman (15th): "In the first part of qualifying the car felt much better, and although I didn’t get the maximum out of it, I made it through. In the second session I was ready to fight, but either the wind picked up or something else changed, and it became more difficult for us.
Tomorrow I have two new sets of Hard tires, so I’m actually happy with my starting position. Yes, I could have started a couple of places higher, but I’m optimistic about the race tomorrow.”
Esteban Ocon (17th): “Actually, our car is faster than our results suggest. I lost a couple of tenths in the first two corners and couldn’t recover them, plus the grip left much to be desired. There will be a lot of pit stops tomorrow—there’s a chance to make up ground.”
