Ecclestone doubts Hamilton's chances of winning his 8th title
Many people place high hopes on the transition to the new technical regulations in 2026, including Lewis Hamilton, who intends to fight for his eighth title. However, former Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone does not see the British Ferrari driver as a contender for the championship victory.
When asked whether Lewis will win another title, Bernie Ecclestone said on Sky Sports: "No. I think everyone goes through periods in life when things work out and when they don't. I believe that Lewis was fairly lucky when he was winning because there wasn't serious competition nearby, which made his life easier.
Now we have rivals, and when he was winning everything, not many people could have dethroned him. I hope he can see it through. But whether he will win another title— that's a whole different story."
