Ferrari may change its management structure.
The Italian Corriere dello Sport reports on another attempt by Ferrari to use administrative resources to influence sporting results.
There is no talk of replacing Frederic Vasseur as team principal yet, but he may be appointed a boss—similar to McLaren, where McLaren Racing boss Zak Brown oversees several of the company's sporting projects, including the Formula 1 team led by Andreas Stella.
Currently, Scuderia Ferrari has a traditional management structure. Vasseur reports to Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna and President John Elkann.
The Italian newspaper claims that Elkann wants to appoint a boss who will be above Vasseur but below himself and Vigna, to serve as a link between the higher management and the Formula 1 team.
It is currently unknown who will be offered this position at Ferrari.
