Colapinto: We are not in the positions we want to be in.

Franco Colapinto, for the second time this season, outperformed his teammate Pierre Gasly in qualifying. Both Alpine drivers are dissatisfied with their starting positions and are hopeful for unpredictable weather.

Franco Colapinto (14th): "After qualifying, I have mixed feelings because I can't be completely satisfied with finishing in the second session. On the other hand, I am happy with the car and felt more confident, which can be seen as a step in the right direction. Today’s sessions went better than yesterday. The team worked hard after Friday's practice, and we managed to improve the car’s handling. However, we are not yet in the positions we want to be, so we need to keep working to improve results and stay stable. Let’s see what happens in the race. We are prepared for various scenarios, and weather could become a serious factor."

Pierre Gasly (17th): "It's always frustrating to end the fight in the first session. Before qualifying, I knew it would be difficult, but in previous rounds we managed to piece everything together and extract the maximum from the car. Today, I couldn't get what I needed from the car — during the lap, it lacked enough turning. At times during the weekend, the car handled normally, but it's clear that since the first practice, we've been in a trailing position. There might be some opportunities in the race. Weather could surprise us, so we’ll keep an eye on the sky. I aim to gain a few positions, but I know that on this track, it will be tough, especially starting from the last positions."
