Carlos Sainz identified the weaknesses of the Williams car

Fourteen sessions with Williams allowed Carlos Sainz to form a complete impression of the British team's car. In Hungary, Carlos discussed some of the FW47's shortcomings.

Carlos Sainz: "The car has relatively poor aerodynamic characteristics in long corners that require downforce from entry to mid-corner. And we have problems with that, and this has been going on for quite some time.

Our car is better suited to tracks with long straights and sharp turns. But currently, we have to deal with long corners like in Barcelona, Hungary, and those that will be in Qatar.

To solve these issues with the car in the future, we need to reconsider the construction philosophy. We are currently trying to understand exactly what needs to be changed so that next year's car becomes more versatile and effective on different types of tracks."
