Alonso would like to see Drugovich in Formula 1.
Fernando Alonso has voiced his support for Felipe Drugovich, as he believes the Brazilian, who for more than a year has been serving as Aston Martin's reserve driver, deserves a seat in one of the Formula 1 teams.
Drugovich occasionally pilots the Aston Martin in practice sessions and tests and does a perfectly respectable job, and lately his name has been mentioned in connection with General Motors' factory project, since in the coming months the new Cadillac F1 team should finalise its lineup for the debut season.
"It would be great to see him in Formula 1," RacingNews365 quotes Alonso as saying. "He has incredible talent, and the Formula 2 championship title proved that. We see it every day because we work with him.
He works on the simulator, does some practice and always delivers the results the team asks for, even though he doesn't cover that many miles. It would be interesting to see Felipe in a race seat, and I hope that still happens."
