Toto Wolff: Mercedes' lineup in 2026 will not change.

      Toto Wolff has effectively confirmed that George Russell and Kimi Antonelli will continue to race for Mercedes in 2026. The Mercedes boss added that Russell’s contract has not yet been signed because the parties have not agreed on all the terms.

      Toto Wolff: “I’ve always said there wouldn’t be any big news regarding our line-up. Of course we will continue to work with both of our drivers.

      We still need to agree on some points in George’s contract because we want to optimize travel and participation in marketing activities. We need to agree on how many days George will spend on promotional events. He’s already an experienced driver, and it’s important to discuss these questions.

      We aim for the drivers to deliver the best possible results, and we don’t want to overload them with marketing activities and media obligations, so we are currently reworking all these aspects.”

      The Mercedes boss added that one shouldn’t expect official confirmation of the contracts in Monza: “Will we make a statement in Monza? No. But I don’t think there will be any loud announcement from our side. When we put our signatures on the agreement, we will simply inform people about it.”
