Verstappen: It's important to get the tyres working effectively.

Last weekend not only Max Verstappen but also Yuki Tsunoda scored points for Red Bull Racing, and now both drivers are determined to perform well at the Italian Grand Prix. Both have their own reasons for confidence ahead of the weekend in Monza, but the team has a number of difficult tasks to address.

Max Verstappen: "Second place in Zandvoort was a decent result for us, and it was great to celebrate it in front of the Dutch fans and feel their support. Now we're heading to Monza, which is a very fast circuit with a rich history, and the fans there are very passionate too. Our team has a lot to do because we need improvements in various areas, including working more effectively with the tyres. We need to try to be consistent in both qualifying and races, and it's especially important to have good pace over long runs, all the more so at this circuit. I like its character, as Monza is an old-school circuit, so we'll see what we can achieve this weekend."

Yuki Tsunoda: "Last weekend in Zandvoort we scored points, and it was an important step in the right direction — it's great that we're back in the top ten. I'll try to keep that confident mindset in Monza, because I feel I can also consider this race a home event. Every year I spend some time living in Italy, so it's nice to feel at home and, of course, enjoy the local cuisine! The team has already asked me for recommendations on local places, and together with my mechanics and engineers we'll go to a pizzeria before the start of the weekend. Monza is one of the classic circuits on the calendar, and this round is eagerly awaited by all the drivers. We're progressing from race to race and will continue working to improve the car's efficiency and our results. I hope the end of the European leg of the season will be positive."
