Shwartzman denied rumors that he doesn't like IndyCar.
In 2025 Robert Shwartzman completed his debut season in the IndyCar series. Racing for the Prema team, the 25-year-old driver scored 211 points, finished twenty-fourth in the drivers' standings and started from pole in the Indianapolis 500.
There have periodically been reports in the press that Shwartzman is unhappy with how his IndyCar career is going, but today Robert posted a statement on social media in which he assured that such rumours are not true.
"I want to touch on one point and respond to the messages that have been circulating recently," Robert Shwartzman wrote. "I constantly see comments and messages saying that I am unhappy in IndyCar or that I don't like competing in this series.
Let me make this clear: I have never said that and I have never even thought that. These rumours are based on speculation, and they are not only untrue but also destructive and, to be honest, offensive.
The truth is the exact opposite! I am very happy to compete in IndyCar. I enjoy this series, the competition, the atmosphere, the variety of tracks. There are passionate fans here, and everyone in the paddock is very welcoming.
Please don't believe everything you read unless it comes directly from me. If I have something to say about my career or my feelings, you will always hear it from me.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support me!"
