Formula E: Vergne and Cassidy — Citroën Racing drivers

Last week we reported on Citroën Racing — the Stellantis factory team will now compete in Formula E under that name. Today a conjecture that had been appearing in the racing press for some time was confirmed: Jean-Éric Vergne and Nick Cassidy will race for Citroën next season.

Vergne is a very experienced professional, a former Formula 1 driver who now combines appearances in the electric series and the WEC. He is the only driver who can boast two titles won in the electric-car racing championship.

New Zealander Cassidy has long attracted attention, as he has achieved a great deal in Formula E in recent years — he has 10 wins and 20 podiums to his name, and finished the championship in the top three in each of the past two seasons, ending 2023 as runner-up.
