Racing Bulls are unhappy with the qualifying results in Singapore, although Isaac Hadjar set the eighth-fastest time…

Isaac Hadjar (8th): “An unlucky day. It’s nice to have made it back to the final, but it’s a shame we couldn’t fully unlock the car’s potential. Today I reached the final for the first time while saving two new sets of Soft tyres.

I went for it on the last qualifying lap and felt it was going to be a great lap, but I made a mistake at Turn 8, so I can only be angry with myself.

Unfortunately I’m starting from the dirty side of the grid. There are very fast cars ahead, overtaking on this track is quite difficult, but I’ll fight and try to score points.”

Liam Lawson (14th): “The team worked hard to prepare the car for qualifying. Unfortunately I couldn’t repay them with a good result.

I made things harder for myself by losing time in the two practice sessions. In the end I was slower on fresh tyres than on the scrubbed ones – we need to sort that out. The car is quick, but it’s hard to overtake here. I’ll do everything to be as well prepared as possible for the race.”
