With each passing year teams require ever greater computing power, and Aston Martin has decided to build a new data centre at its Silverstone base. The two-storey data centre, covering 1,400 sq m, is planned to be built next to the wind-tunnel building, but it still needs permission from the local authorities—the team has already submitted the relevant application to West Northamptonshire Council.
