Carlos Sainz is vacationing in the Bahamas.
At the two previous rounds Williams didn't score anything, and the weekend in Austin could have been more productive, so it's unlikely their drivers were in a good mood after the São Paulo Grand Prix.
All the more reason to try to lift it and properly focus on the remaining three races of the season — probably why Carlos Sainz decided not to return to Europe and instead headed to the Bahamas.
Besides, the time difference between that island nation and Las Vegas is only three hours, so he won't have to readjust to a new time zone. And although Carlos insists that's not a problem for him, it's still somewhat more comfortable this way.
About a dozen photos taken on the Bahamian islands have appeared on social media, showing that the Spanish Williams driver is combining pleasure with business — not only relaxing, sunbathing and enjoying the ocean air, but also keeping up his physical fitness. Three races in a row lie ahead, and getting a good workout in the gym certainly won't hurt — there won't be time later.
Presumably, at the fan meet in the Williams fan zone in Las Vegas Carlos will be asked about his mindset for the final stage of the season, and he will confidently say he feels full of energy because he managed to get a proper rest.
