Piastri: There will be bumps along the way, but I'll try to smooth them out.

Yesterday in Woking at the McLaren Technology Centre the whole team gathered — both drivers and the leadership reviewed the São Paulo Grand Prix, and together celebrated another success for Lando Norris.

Andrea Stella spoke first: "In Brazil we secured another victory, following the win in Mexico, and over the last two rounds we have scored 78 points. We hope this will allow us to change the current trend and turn the season around. Well done, everyone!.."

When both drivers came out before the assembled crowd, Lando invited Oscar Piastri to speak first.

"It was an interesting weekend, which, you could say, had two sides," said the Australian, probably referring in part to his 10-second penalty. "I think the main thing I'd like to share is: there will inevitably be bumps in the road, but I'll do everything in my power to smooth them out and get back to the trajectory we were on at the start of the season. I feel real confidence in my abilities and complete confidence in the team — in the people who work directly with me and in the whole group gathered here. I believe we can achieve our goal, and I'm grateful to everyone for their support — let's keep fighting!"

"Most importantly, we're still sticking together!" continued Norris. "You always have to listen to the people you trust, and that trust has to be mutual. I want to say that even in difficult times we must remain strong."

On the tasks for the remaining races of the season, Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, said: "The championship rivalry is now going to become increasingly intense. At the same time, I also believe that events will become even more interesting — it will get even more fun. Our task is to keep performing in the races, as there is still a lot to do ahead. But above all I want to emphasize that Lando and Oscar have been doing an incredible job all year, not only on the race tracks but off them as well. And now, I think it's the right time to celebrate the recent success!"

However, at the team base the drivers not only gave speeches and joined in the celebrations: they worked with their engineers, spent time on the simulator, and Oscar also visited the gym. Three consecutive races lie ahead starting with the Las Vegas Grand Prix, and there will be very little time to maintain the required physical fitness. Everyone will still need their strength, as the fight for the title is entering its final phase.
