Bernie Ecclestone: It turns out I'm buying Aston Martin

      Bernie Ecclestone has long since stepped back from Formula 1 affairs but continues to closely follow events in the championship. Recently he commented on rumours that he might become a co-owner of the Aston Martin team together with Christian Horner.

      "How old do I have to be for the rumours about me to finally stop?" joked the former head of Formula 1 management. "It turns out Aston Martin is yet another team I'm buying together with Horner. But didn't technical genius Adrian Newey leave Red Bull for Aston Martin just so he wouldn't have to work with Horner anymore?"

      However, Bernie found a new job for Christian Horner: "I wouldn't rule out him moving to Ferrari! It's a complete mess there right now, and the boss John Elkann is now even insulting both of the team's drivers."
