Before proceeding, please remember not to recklessly chop down trees when you're out enjoying your 4×4. Trees should be valued for the sake of the environment and your own safety. However, in certain expedition circumstances, you might encounter a fallen tree obstructing a trail or hindering your progress. In such cases, reducing the size of some logs might be necessary to clear the way, and a chainsaw is invaluable for this task. The electric model that is on sale for Black Friday could be a great addition to the truck for deep woods activities.
Husqvarna offers some exciting adventure motorcycles, but the brand also manufactures another type of small-engine companion: chainsaws. They have been producing two-stroke chainsaws for a long time and have recently expanded into the electric market. I've been using electric tools frequently on my small ranch lately, and I'm starting to embrace them.
I still have mixed feelings about electric tools in general—many probably share this sentiment. The lack of immediate refueling is frustrating, but the significantly reduced noise and the absence of fumes make electric tools appealing to me. These factors are particularly important for an expedition saw kept in your vehicle. Having a gas saw in the truck cab could mean smelling fuel vapors, which is unpleasant and potentially unhealthy. Furthermore, using an electric saw around animals or campsites won’t frighten everyone nearby.
This electric saw also weighs a few pounds less than a gas-powered model of the same size.

Husqvarna is also offering a discount on its larger electric saw, the 435i, featuring a 16-inch blade and a 7.5 aH battery, now reduced by 24% to $458.93, though that might be too large for camping use.
If you prefer an orange chainsaw but want a gas-powered option, the Husqvarna 120 Mark III is a 14-inch, 38cc-engine model. However, it is not on sale at this time.
Husqvarna (“Husky”) is a longstanding brand in power equipment (and dirt bikes) that has been manufacturing chainsaws since 1959, but electric models were only introduced in recent years. I would trust the brand—it has a significant reputation to uphold against releasing subpar products. Regarding the 225i, Amazon reviews appear to be mostly favorable. Personally, I am a fan of my DeWalt electric string trimmer and Cub Cadet electric zero-turn mower, so I believe electric outdoor tools can indeed be effective.
