Sauber awaits the final race in its history.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be the last race for Sauber, which will become Audi’s works team next year...

Jonathan Wheatley, team principal: "We are going to Abu Dhabi fully charged and ready to fight in the final race of the season. It has been long and intense, but it has made the team stronger; we have built a way of working we can be proud of. Nico's podium at Silverstone proved what we are capable of when we perform at our best, and watching Gabriel grow and improve in his debut season has been genuinely pleasing. There is another opportunity to score points ahead, and the team is set to fight until the last corner.

Apart from the race itself, there will be an emotional moment for us as we head towards the arrival of Audi as a works team next year. In the final race for Sauber we want to pay tribute to the team's legacy, born from Peter Sauber's dream, to honour what it has achieved over three decades in Formula 1 and more than fifty years in motorsport, and to finish in a way that reflects this incredible story."

Nico Hülkenberg: "We were disappointed with the result in Qatar, but that is behind us and the final round of the season is ahead. This weekend we will continue the fight in the Constructors' Championship, and I would really like to finish the season with a good result, especially as this will be my 250th start in Formula 1."

Gabriel Bortoleto: "My debut season is coming to an end; I am returning to Abu Dhabi, where last year I became Formula 2 champion, and a few days later drove my first laps with the team in testing. I can't believe a year has already passed since then!

This season I have learned a lot, grown a great deal and I am proud of the progress our team has made. I want to achieve a strong result for our team, for all its staff at the track and at the factory, for those who supported me this season. We will do everything to finish the season on a high note."
