Aston Martin intrigues the public and the press

The 2026 season is drawing closer, and very soon everyone will see the new cars and be able to judge the scale of the changes that will come to Formula 1 with the switch to next‑generation machinery.

The factory Audi team, formerly Sauber, has already held a filming day at the Barcelona circuit, although, of course, their RS‑26 was shown only in wide shots and from a distance.

It is no surprise that shortly afterwards some “spy photos” of the new car began circulating online, but they were quickly followed by articles whose authors analyze those images and promptly insist that they are fakes generated by artificial intelligence — albeit rather clumsily.

In the time remaining before the tests in Barcelona and Bahrain begin, teams will be working intensively to refine chassis and power units, trying to win a race against time, of which there is ever less. There is also intrigue around the Mercedes engines, about which the FIA is calling together engine specialists just a few days before the start of the private tests at the Catalan circuit.

As for Aston Martin F1, it is known that on January 20 in Tokyo there will be a presentation of Honda’s new power unit with the participation of Lawrence Stroll and team representatives, and the car itself will be shown on February 9. No further information is available, which only heightens the curiosity of the press and fans: what will be the new creation of Adrian Newey, the acknowledged genius of aerodynamics who now heads the team?

Against this backdrop, Aston Martin’s press office is behaving enigmatically: a couple of days ago a video appeared on the team’s social media pages that causes some puzzlement. In it we see something being typed on an old typewriter, followed by an image of a page with the finished text.

Here is its literal translation, but if any questions arise about the content they should be addressed solely to the authors of this piece. So:

      “Watch closely.

The essence is in the details.

He who catches only this moment will miss what exactly creates it.

      Watch how we move. Together.

Behind every decision lie intentions. Beneath the surface lies work. We notice only the moments.

First of all we map out a path. Then we begin to build the road. Brick by brick.

Behind every step on this path lie certain intentions. And so until everything aligns.

      With intent.”

There is a sense of creative approach, but for now this piece seems somewhat isolated, ripped out of some context — apparently we must wait for what will hopefully be an equally curious continuation.
