Leonardo Fornaroli worked for two days on McLaren tests.

McLaren reserve driver Leonardo Fornaroli completed two days of testing in Barcelona as part of the TPC (Testing of a Previous Car) program. The Formula 2 champion from last season drove the 2023 MCL60. For Leonardo, this was his first experience behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car. Over the two days, he completed a total of 110 laps (512 kilometers), assessed the car's behavior with both an empty and full tank, and, as noted by the team, showed constant progress. Throughout the season, Fornaroli will have other tests as part of the TPC program.

Leonardo Fornaroli: "It's just incredible to drive a Formula 1 car on a real track. The last two days have been amazing, and I've learned a lot about various aspects of driving a Formula 1 car. My car is quite different from the current generation car, but for me, as a reserve driver, the time spent behind the wheel is important as it helps me compare the physical sensations of driving with the work I do on the simulator in support of the team. Thank you to everyone at McLaren for this opportunity. I'm excited to get back behind the wheel and continue working on my development. Now I'm heading to Japan to support the team during the race weekend."
