100 minutes to the start: George Russell's comment

George Russell starts second in Suzuka and intends to fight for victory...

George Russell: "We figured out what went wrong during yesterday's qualifying – unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to change anything on the car in preparation for the Sunday race. But we have a number of ideas on how to overcome these difficulties through adjustments to the front wing. I hope driving during the race distance will be a bit easier.

In any case, I will have more laps to adjust my driving style, as it's clear that in qualifying mode, when we do one fast lap and then take a break before the next attempt, that's hardly possible. But today is a new day!

As always, it's extremely important to have a good start, as it's difficult to overtake on this track, although it will be interesting to see how everything unfolds with these new rules. I don't think the events in Suzuka will develop in the same unpredictable way as in the first two races, but of course, since Charles Leclerc starts from 4th position, it's possible that he could get off the line better and overtake us.

In any case, I will try to get into the lead right away, but we know that Ferrari will be very fast. We were also a bit surprised by McLaren's speed, although of course, they have the same Mercedes power units as we do, but we will try to stay ahead. I think during the race we will have a pace advantage, but if they manage to overtake us at the start, it will make our lives significantly more difficult."
