Monza enhancements authorized to ensure F1 future

      "A nearly unanimous agreement"

      Significant upgrades at Monza have made substantial progress following the approval of renovation plans by local authorities aimed at ensuring the historic site remains on the Formula 1 calendar. The City Council of Monza has shown nearly unanimous support for three key resolutions, which include the installation of a permanent roof over the pit building, the construction of a new race control center, and the enhancement of the press room. "The nearly unanimous agreement reflected in the vote highlights the shared significance of this project," stated circuit president Giuseppe Redaelli. These improvements are considered crucial for the circuit's long-term viability, as Formula 1 increasingly requires modern infrastructure with new venues continuously entering the calendar. Redaelli also emphasized the economic significance of the Italian Grand Prix, which generates approximately 250 million euros for the local area each year. "I want to convey my sincere gratitude to the Automobile Club of Italy, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Lombardy Region, the Monza Park Consortium, the Valle Lambro Regional Authority, the Municipality of Monza, the Superintendency, and all the local bodies and institutions for their loyal and tangible cooperation over the years," he added.
